Wolman recalled of the electric performance, "The stage was only three feet high and the small round table at which I was sitting was so close to Ike and Tina and the Ikettes that I could see the drops of sweat on their necks and faces."

Born blind, Beauregard learned to play the banjo to support himself before taking up guitar and becoming a blues musician years later.

Nick Mason, Richard Wright, Roger Waters, and Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd are photographed at the Casa Madrona Hotel in November of 1967. A month later, the band would add David Gilmour as the fifth member, foreshadowing Barrett's departure in 1968.
